I used to enjoy making websites. I am revisiting plain text, HTML, and simple CSS in an attempt to leave behind the complex world of content management systems. I want to make my websites simple again.
While trying to simplify parts of my life and business, I couldn't help but notice how bloated and overly-complicated Wordpress and its ecosystem had become. I could no longer justify why I needed to use Wordpress for most, if not all, of my sites. So I decided to go back in time and re-visit the basics of site creation.
